I apologize that it’s been awhile. I’m in the midst of changing my blog over to a new platform/name/brand/etc. (yay!) so I’ve been trying to back off of this one until I have that all figured out. I’ll let you all in on that soon, though! Promise. 🙂
Question for anyone out there reading this, though. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about three years ago and have been struggling with it ever since. My medication seems to keep it “under control” but I still have a tough time with losing weight, fogginess and tiredness. I chalked it up to “things I’ll have to live with” for the rest of my life.
Well, after having a trying couple of months, but my thyroid technically not getting any higher (so no higher dosage of meds), I decided to Google a bit today to see if there’s anything else I can do to supplement my Levothyroxin. (<— I probably spelled that wrong.) I was reading up and saw that some people suggest going gluten- free. Does anyone know anything about this?
Going gluten-free seems like a pretty big undertaking (and not something I necessarily WANT to do unless it’ll help me out) so I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on 1) If you’ve also heard that going gluten-free can help hypothyroidism or 2) Gluten-free tips/tricks/blogs/etc. Of course, I’m planning on talking with my doctor, but I don’t have an appointment with her until the end of this month.
Let me know in the comments or shoot me an email (thehealthyspread at gmail dot com), please! And I’ll keep you in the loop about the blog changes coming soon!
And, since there are no photos in this blog and I hate that, here’s a Insta picture of my pretty holiday decorations. 🙂
