This or That

Happy Friday! Sorry I’ve been MIA – it’s been a rough week! This weekend a friend of mine from Washington D.C. is coming to visit so I’m ready for a relaxing but fun weekend.

I’ve seen this post going around the blog world for the past couple of weeks so I thought I’d hop in, too. Have a great Friday!

1. Run/workout in the heat and humidity or freezing temps and snow?

Heat and humidity. Hands down. No question. I absolutely H-A-T-E winter (which is a serious problem living in Wisconsin) so I’d take heat any day. I don’t particularly like humidity and I tend to get sick from it but still – no question.

2. Have washboard abs or flat abs?

Flat abs – someday…

3. Dr. Oz or The Doctors?

The Doctors – Dr. Oz bores me to be completely honest. I still will watch his show if I’m home, though (which is never)

4. Cardio or strength?

Cardio… though I’m not really a fan of that, either. I need to figure out what kind of exercise I do like so that I’ll actually do it.

5. Cravings: Protein or carbs?

Carbs – all.the.time. Though to be honest, since I’ve started tracking my points for WW, I don’t really notice me craving carbs that much. It’s mostly pasta. And chips. Always the chips.

6. Jillian Michaels or Bob Harper?

I love them both but to be honest – Jillian scares me a bit. I’d probably work well with either of them, though.

7. Frozen Yogurt or Ice Cream

Frozen yogurt. Though I’m technically lactose intolerant so I shouldn’t really have EITHER but frozen yogurt tends to be easier on my stomach and it doesn’t always make me sick. Ice cream I pretty much ignore unless it’s in a malt.

8. To train: Upper body or Lower body?

I haven’t been doing either lately (ever) but maybe lower? I definitely need to work on both.

9. Protein powder or food with protein?

Food with protein – though I don’t mind protein powder but I never use it.

10. Lunges or squats?

Squats (also – I NEED TO DO THESE)

11. Sweet or salty?

Salty usually but the occasional sweet tooth always hits.

12. Workout attire: cute or comfy?

Both but right now I can only really afford comfy – don’t have much cute stuff!

13. Body Pump or Heavy lifting?

To be honest, I’m not doing either. I haven’t ever tried body pump (though I’d like to!) and I haven’t done heavy lifting since high school … 6 years ago … and I was lifting 80-110lb girls into the air and throwing them around and usually catching them ;o) Oh, cheerleading… how I miss you… well, not the practices but I do miss my arms, legs, stomach, whole toned body…

This had to be my junior or senior year of high school… and yes, that’s fake hair (my hair was past my butt so I got fake spiral curls for competitions)

14. Yoga or Pilates?

And… I’ve never done either (I need to get on this STAT)

15. Nike or Adidas?

don’t care about brands so much.

16. Running on the treadmill or outdoors?

I usually do it indoors on treadmills since I’m still learning “how” to run… so I rarely run outside. I notice when I do, I usually run too fast so I like that I know how fast I can run on a treadmill in order to go a further distance.

17. Whole Foods or Trader Joes?

Trader Joes. I can’t wait until the one opens up closer to my apartment. I love WF but like Fitnessista says, it’s Whole Paycheck. I go in there and get 5 things and leave with an empty wallet. It’s like Target.

18. Summer or Winter Olympics?

Summer – I love gymnastics! Though I like ice skating in winter, too.

19. Wine or beer?

Neither… but wine if I have to choose. (I’m more of a vodka girl)

20. Steamed or roasted veggies?

Roasted! I love both but roasted is better in my opinion.
